We go to great lengths to ensure that our steel meets the highest standards, conducting extensive metallurgical tests to determine the ideal composition for barrel steel. Every lot of steel undergoes rigorous heat testing to guarantee compliance with our strict requirements. We offer both stainless steel and chrome moly barrels, with both materials held to the same uncompromising standards from start to finish.

Precision Through Single-Point Cut-Rifling

Our commitment to precision is exemplified by our use of the single-point cut-rifling process. While it may be one of the oldest and slowest methods, it remains the most accurate. Our state-of-the-art machines employ a cutter that removes just .0001 inch per pass, resulting in near-perfect concentricity between bore and groove, a consistent twist rate, and zero induced stress in the steel. We never engage in straightening our barrels, as this would reintroduce stress into the steel.

Furthermore, our barrels undergo lapping after reaming to eliminate tool marks, followed by meticulous hand-lapping post-rifling. This additional step ensures a superior finish, with barrel dimensions uniformly maintained. While it is said that a correctly cut-rifled barrel shouldn't require finish lapping, we go the extra mile to deliver an even better product. Finish lapping improves the barrel's finish quality and reduces fouling, making cleaning easier. Our barrels achieve finishes under 16 micro-inches in the direction of bullet travel, far exceeding government requirements.
