The Steel

At Krieger, we recognize the paramount importance of steel quality in barrel manufacturing. We meticulously oversee the steel production process, conducting exhaustive metallurgical tests to ensure compliance with our rigorous standards. Whether stainless steel or chrome moly, all our barrels adhere to the same high-quality standards, from initial steel mill quality to final inspection.

Single-Point Cut-Rifling

We employ the single-point cut-rifling process for all our barrels, despite it being the oldest and slowest method. This meticulous approach results in unparalleled accuracy, with each pass removing a mere .0001 inch, ensuring almost perfect concentricity and a uniform twist rate. Our commitment to excellence extends to post-rifling processes, including meticulous hand-lapping to achieve finishes under 16 micro-inch, significantly surpassing government standards.
