Founded in 2004, Geissele Automatics quickly established itself as a premier manufacturer of trigger mechanisms for the AR15 rifle, beginning with the Hi-Speed National Match trigger designed by Bill Geissele. Responding to a Department of Defense request in 2005, Bill Geissele developed the Geissele Super Select-Fire (SSF) trigger, designed to offer select-fire capabilities without compromising on the precision and quality found in the original Hi-Speed trigger. After extensive testing, the SSF became the preferred choice for U.S. Special Operations, demonstrating Geissele's commitment to serving those in the line of duty.

Recognizing the broader needs of law enforcement and civilian shooters, Geissele expanded its offerings with the Super Semi-Automatic (SSA) trigger, a derivative of the SSF designed for those requiring only semi-automatic functionality. The SSA maintains the high performance, safety, reliability, and forgiveness that two-stage triggers are renowned for, proving Geissele's dedication to quality across all realms of shooting—from competitive sports to defense and protection.
