What Makes Brux Different

Brux builds cut-rifled barrels in Lodi, Wisconsin. Every barrel starts as double stress-relieved 4150 chrome-moly or 416R stainless bar stock, then gets bored on a Barnes gun drill, reamed with a Pratt & Whitney reamer, single-point cut rifled, and hand-lapped to finish. Cut rifling removes steel one pass at a time, which keeps bore geometry consistent and leaves very little residual stress in the steel.

Brux barrels have set IBS records at 600 and 1000 yards, including Mike Wilson's 1.068" five-shot group at Hawks Ridge in July 2018, the smallest 1000-yard group ever recorded in IBS competition.

Calibers in stock. 6mm, 6.5mm, .257, 7mm, and .308 (including carbon-fiber wrapped .308 blanks).

Contours. X#10 MTU, X#11 1.25" Straight, X#17 Heavy Varmint, and X# 1.20" Straight. Heavier contours stay stiff under a tripod and run quiet suppressed; lighter contours suit hunting and varmint builds.

Twist rates. 7.5 to 10, depending on caliber. 7.5 in 6mm handles 105 to 108 gr hybrids. 8 twist in 6.5mm covers 140 to 147 gr match bullets. 9 to 10 twist .308 for the heavies.

Finish lengths. 22" through 30" finished, 4-groove or 6-groove rifling depending on caliber and SKU.

Which Brux Is Right for You?

• PRS and tactical builds: 6mm Brux blank in X#10 MTU or X#11 1.25" Straight, chambered in Dasher, BRA, or GT. 7.5 twist, mass for tripod work, profile for suppressed shooting.
• F-Class and long-range prone: 6.5mm X#10 MTU at 30" finish. The template Brux is known for.
• Short-range benchrest: Order a blank, have your smith chamber to your reamer. Brux cuts custom twist rates to spec.
• Hunting and varmint: Heavy Varmint or lighter sporter blank in 6mm or .257. Carbon-fiber wrapped .308 keeps weight down for backcountry rifles.
