Note: All Rifle Receivers need to be shipped to an FFL. Please submit your dealer's FFL along with your order number to ffl@bulletcentral.com
Custom Bolt Action Receivers
Custom actions from BAT Machine, Defiance Machine, Impact Precision, Kelbly, Borden Accuracy, and American Rifle Company, most on a Remington 700 footprint. We build custom rifles in Fargo, so every action here is one we have chambered, threaded, and shipped ourselves. The BAT Neuvo series is a joint development between BAT Machine and Bullet Central, so the full Neuvo range is available here.
Picking Between the Builders
BAT Machine, built in Rathdrum, Idaho, has held more benchrest records than any other custom action maker; the lineup runs from the CT and TR through the Model M to the EX and EXS for ELR. Defiance, an ATF Class 7 manufacturer in Columbia Falls, Montana, runs a one-piece 4340 chrome moly bolt with headspace held to plus or minus .001" across the Ruckus, Deviant, anTi X, and Tenacity lines. Impact Precision's 737R, with its .700" bolt, integral 20 MOA rail, integral recoil lug, and Mini M16 extractor, has been the most popular custom action among the top 100 PRS shooters since 2018 (PrecisionRifleBlog). All are top-tier builders, so pick by feel and feature set, not loyalty.
FAQ
Does a receiver ship to my door?
No. A receiver is a serialized firearm under federal law and ships to a licensed FFL dealer. Submit your dealer's FFL with your order number to ffl@bulletcentral.com. Every other part of the build ships to your door.
Short action or long action?
Short actions cover 6mm and 6.5mm competition cartridges (6 Dasher, 6 GT, 6.5 Creedmoor). Long and magnum actions cover 300 Win Mag class and up, with dedicated ELR receivers for the largest cases.
What else do I need for the build?
We stock matching precision rifle triggers, barrel blanks, chassis and stocks, and bottom metal, so the rest of the rifle ships from the same warehouse.
