About ADG (Atlas Development Group)

ADG was founded in January 2015 by a team of engineers who spun out of the Remington R&D Technical Center in Elizabethtown, Kentucky when Remington relocated R&D to Alabama. The founding team brought more than two centuries of combined firearms and ammunition development experience.

What sets ADG apart is its MHT annealing process, a temperature profile tuned to each specific cartridge case rather than one setting across the line. They also add material in critical areas of the case to strengthen it. ADG tests every cartridge design to a minimum of 10 firings at SAAMI max pressure with no inter-firing annealing, and leaves the factory anneal mark visible as proof the neck was properly softened.

Product Lines at a Glance

ADG sells one product line, the Anneal Line, in 50-count unprimed boxes. Every box ships with the factory flame-anneal mark intact and a laser-etched lot number on the case head for traceability. At Bullet Central, the ADG lineup covers:

  • Match and PRS: 22 Creedmoor, 6mm Creedmoor, 6.5 Creedmoor, 308 Winchester
  • PRC family: 6.5 PRC, 7mm PRC, 300 PRC, 7-6.5 PRCW
  • Short magnums: 300 WSM, 6.5 SAUM, 7mm SAUM
  • Magnum hunting: 7mm Rem Mag, 300 Win Mag, 28 Nosler, 30 Nosler, 300 Norma Mag, 300 Rem Ultra Mag
  • ELR and heavy magnums: 338 Edge, 338 Lapua Mag, 338 Rem Ultra Mag

Which ADG Cartridge Is Right for You?

For PRS and NRL Hunter, 6mm Creedmoor, 6.5 Creedmoor, and 6.5 PRC are the volume picks. Manageable recoil, long case life, forgiving load development.

For Western hunting at distance, 7 PRC, 28 Nosler, and 300 PRC push heavy high-BC bullets into the 3,000 fps range without burning barrels.

For ELR and heavy-bullet competition, 338 Edge, 338 Lapua Mag, and 300 Norma Mag handle 300-grain-class projectiles with the case-head strength to take repeated max loads.

For belted-magnum rebuilds, 7mm Rem Mag and 300 Win Mag bring modern tolerances to cartridges that benefit most from a proper factory anneal and a strong primer pocket.

Switching to ADG from another brand? Drop back to the published minimum starting charge and work up. ADG cases run slightly less internal volume than Lapua, or Peterson in most chamberings, so old charge weights can land over pressure.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many times can I reload ADG brass?

Most shooters report 10 to 15 firings per case with moderate loads and periodic annealing. ADG tests every cartridge design to a minimum of 10 firings at SAAMI max pressure with no inter-firing annealing, so that number is a conservative floor. Primer pockets are usually the limiting factor, not neck splits.

Why is the anneal line visible on ADG brass?

ADG leaves the factory flame-anneal discoloration on the neck and shoulder as visible proof the neck was properly softened. Most makers polish it off for cosmetics. It does not affect sizing, seating, or performance. Tumble it off if you prefer a uniform finish.

Do I need to adjust my load when switching to ADG?

Yes. ADG cases are heavier than most competitors in the same chambering, so internal volume is slightly less and pressure runs higher for a given charge. Drop back to the published minimum starting load and work up. A load that was safe in Lapua, Peterson, or Norma is not guaranteed safe in ADG.

Does ADG brass need annealing before first firing?

No. It ships annealed. Most shooters fire-form once, resize, then start their own annealing routine after two or three firings to keep neck tension consistent.

What does MHT annealing mean?

MHT is ADG's proprietary annealing technology. It applies a temperature profile tailored to each cartridge case rather than a single setting across the line. The neck softens to a controlled hardness while the case head stays hard, which drives ADG's long case life.
