What makes SK Ammunition Different?

SK is made at Nammo Schönebeck GmbH in Germany, Europe's oldest continuously operating ammunition factory (since 1832). The same site produces Lapua rimfire on separate production lines. Lots are fired through the factory's test tunnel, measured, and sorted into Rifle Match, Long Range Match, Standard Plus, and the rest based on performance. SK is German match ammo at a price that lets serious shooters train without rationing rounds.

SK Product Lines at a Glance

Five SK lines in stock. All use a 40-grain lead round nose bullet; the differences come down to velocity profile and lot sorting.

Which SK Is Right for You?

For 50m benchrest, smallbore prone, or NRL22 stages under 100 yards, Rifle Match is the default. Standard Plus works if your rifle likes it. Both run 1073 fps with the same bullet.

For NRL22 and PRS rimfire past 100 yards, Long Range Match is the choice. Higher muzzle velocity (1106 fps) and lot sorting cut wind drift through the transition zone.

For pistol competition or short-barreled rifles, Pistol Match keeps velocity subsonic from short tubes. For training volume, Magazine drops the cost per round.

Rimfire is rifle-specific. Buy a few boxes of different lots, shoot them at 50 or 100 yards, and stock up on whichever lot your rifle prefers.

Why Buy SK From Bullet Central?

Frequently Asked Questions

Who makes SK ammunition?

SK is manufactured by Nammo Schönebeck GmbH in Schönebeck, Germany. The same factory produces Lapua rimfire on separate lines, and is part of the Nammo Group alongside Lapua, Berger, and VihtaVuori.

Is SK the same as Lapua?

Same facility, same engineers, different production lines and different lot sorting. Lots that meet Lapua's tighter spec are sold as Lapua; lots sorted to SK's spec are sold as SK. Not seconds — match ammo at a different performance grade.

What is the difference between Rifle Match and Standard Plus?

Both are 40gr LRN at 1073 fps with the same bullet profile. Rifle Match is sorted to a tighter accuracy spec during lot acceptance testing. The practical gap varies lot to lot, which is why serious shooters test multiple boxes before committing to a case.

Which SK is best for NRL22 and PRS rimfire?

Long Range Match for stages past 100 yards. Rifle Match for stages under 100 yards. Top rimfire shooters test multiple lots in their specific rifle and stock up on whatever shoots tightest.

Do you ship .22LR to my state?
