Points of Contact in PRS Barricade Shooting
How many points of contact should you aim for, for effective shooting?
Typically 2 points of contact on the rifle itself (front and rear support), plus a strong body/base with as many additional points of contact as possible for overall stability.
In PRS (Precision Rifle Series) barricade shooting, "points of contact" generally refers to how the rifle is supported for stability, recoil management, and quick follow-ups. The goal is to minimize wobble while balancing speed and precision, especiall

Douglas' Weekend Journey
This is not for the faint of heart, but for the hard of hearing:
Douglas is about to enter a new world. The world of competition. Tomorrow morning at 4:00am Douglas will be thrown unceremoniously into the back of Les' "Look At Me" yellow Jeep, and upon arrival at the Rush Lake Range in Minnesota Douglas will begin spewing the first of 100 plus Berger 105 Hybrids at distant steel targets.
Fast and Furious will not be the mantra of the day - more like Slow As You Go. Les will expend every effort t

Bix'n Andy's Savage TacSport Pro X & Savage Dakota Triggers
In 2012 benchrest shooter Chris Harris, owner of BulletCentral.com, brought Austrian gunsmith and engineer Andy Atzl's Bix'n Andy triggers to America. Since then, their collaborative innovation has not slowed or stopped.

Douglas Barrels Still Hammer
Last Friday I received a barrel from Douglas Barrels. I can't really say it was long awaited, because it didn't take that long for Douglas to "spin" this barrel up. It came as a prefit for my Impact Precision 737R action that I use for PRS, plinking, steel killing and rock busting.
Dimensionally it is 30 inches long and tapered to one inch at the threaded muzzle. Don't ask me what the contour is - I don't know. The thick end is chambered in 6MMBR4EVER! And the other end fits AB Suppressor's Rapt

Adding Essential Equipment
An accomplished shooter buddy of mine is going to Tennessee for a family visit, but with the priorities a guy's gotta have, he's going to stop off at an F-Class match in Indiana on his way there. F/TR is his chosen corner of that discipline.
A Kauger Arms action is the rifle's anchor/foundation, with a 28" Heavy Varmint MullerWorks cut barrel, Richards Microfit self-finished stock, Vortex scope, Leupold rings, Sinclair bipod makes up the equipment. He's running Lapua brass and Berger 185 Juggern
