Last Friday I received a barrel from Douglas Barrels. I can't really say it was long awaited, because it didn't take that long for Douglas to "spin" this barrel up. It came as a prefit for my Impact Precision 737R action that I use for PRS, plinking, steel killing and rock busting. Dimensionally it is 30 inches long and tapered to one inch at the threaded muzzle. Don't ask me what the contour is - I don't know. The thick end is chambered in 6MMBR4EVER! And the other end fits AB Suppressor's Rapt …

An accomplished shooter buddy of mine is going to Tennessee for a family visit, but with the priorities a guy's gotta have, he's going to stop off at an F-Class match in Indiana on his way there. F/TR is his chosen corner of that discipline. A Kauger Arms action is the rifle's anchor/foundation, with a 28" Heavy Varmint MullerWorks cut barrel, Richards Microfit self-finished stock, Vortex scope, Leupold rings, Sinclair bipod makes up the equipment. He's running Lapua brass and Berger 185 Juggern …

My initial enthusiasm for the hunter style matches began to wane, as is common among the fickle. I'd put a rifle together that would do the deed. It shot well. But it was nearing the edge of the weight limit and it was taking the starch outta me. Remembering that I had seen three versions of LRI's Murder Hornet fluting at the 2026 NRL Hunter Grand Slam Finale, I opened their website for a closer look. It's almost like taking a new car for a test drive. I bought into it. I sent it in. I paid the …

@Josh Chambers Troy Polamalu says every year of his NFL career he watched every snap from 5 different safeties and built both highlight and lowlight tapes on them because you're never going to be original in pursuit of greatness. "Every year I watched five safeties. And I would literally watch every single one of their plays. I would make a highlight tape… And a lowlight tape of all of them." "That's what I did throughout my whole career. Ed was somebody I watched every single one of his …

This poor action has to feel used and abused. After all - it's mine. It wasn't the first custom action I'd ever owned, but it was the first one that got much use. I traded a Manner's stocked long action Defiance with a 6.5-284 Bartlein for this Butch's white labeled Stiller, to retire a Remington 700 when I got serious about shooting PRS. Barrels came and went, and bullets disappeared in the general direction of all the AR500 steel I could lay eyes on. For the last few years a #3 Bartlein in 6mm …
