What Makes CRB Different?

Austin Orgain acquired the Hawk Hill Customs barrel-making equipment with personal mentorship from original owner Shawn Burkholden, then moved it to his hometown of Hammon, Oklahoma and rebranded as Custom Rifle Barrels. Orgain is a two-time PRS Overall Season Champion (2020 and 2021), 2020 Armageddon Gear Cup winner, and 2017 NRL Season Champion. The shop is co-managed by Austin Buschman, 2022 PRS Overall Season Champion and 2022 IPRF World Champion. Every CRB blank is 4-groove, single-point cut-rifled from 416R stainless, and hand-lapped. Orgain personally inspects every barrel that leaves the shop. Cut rifling removes steel one pass at a time, which leaves very little residual stress and is the method serious benchrest, F-Class, and PRS shooters trust for top-end blanks.

Product Lines at a Glance

Bullet Central stocks CRB in raw stainless barrel blanks for gunsmiths and custom builders. Our current CRB inventory is built around the CRB Comp contour: a 1.25" diameter shank that runs 6.5 inches then tapers to 1.1" at the muzzle, finished at 29" length. That profile gives you enough mass for a suppressed PRS or F-Class build without pushing you into a full 1.25" straight.

Which CRB Is Right for You?

PRS and tactical. CRB Comp in 6mm (.243) or 6.5mm (.264) at 29", 7.5 or 8 twist. The Comp contour carries enough mass to manage barrel temp through a long PRS stage without crossing into full 1.25" straight territory. This is the contour Austin Orgain built for his own match rifles.

Short-range benchrest and Williamsport 1000-yard. Forum shooters are rebarreling Dashers with the CRB Comp contour. Pair a .243 blank with a benchrest smith and a 6 Dasher or 6 BRA reamer.

F-Class and long-range target. .243 or .264 CRB Comp at 29", 7.5 or 8 twist for 105-110 gr (6mm) or 140-144 gr (6.5mm) hybrids.

7mm long-range and PRS-Open. .284 / 7mm CRB Comp at 29" with 8 twist for 180-gr class hybrids on 7 SAUM, 284 Win, and 7 PRC builds. If you want more barrel length and mass, the 1.25 ST 33" blank in 8.5 twist is the long-range choice.

Precision varmint and target hunting. .224 at 7 twist for 80-90 gr heavies, or .257 at 7.5 twist for 131-135 gr long-range 25-cal builds.
