Description
The Impact 737R is the short action receiver most top-100 PRS shooters have run since 2018. This listing is the left-hand configuration with a .308 bolt face and 75-degree bolt throw.
Machined from one piece of material, the 737R receiver eliminates the warping and loosening that comes with pinned rails or bolted-on recoil lugs. It carries a 20 MOA integral rail and integral recoil lug, uses the Rem 700 short action footprint, and runs Rem 700 triggers through a trigger hanger for easier field service.
The one-piece bolt has fluted top and side surfaces to carry away dirt, a smooth bottom for clean cycling, and a black carbon nitride finish for hardness and lubricity. Bolt diameter is .700" with a Mini M16 extractor. Tenon threads are 1-1/16 x 16 TPI Class 3. Receiver weight is 36 ounces, and it feeds rounds up to 2.960" OAL, cut for AW and AICS magazines.
.308 bolt face covers 22 Creed, 25x47 Lapua, 25 Creed, 25 GT, 6 BR, 6 BRA, 6 Dasher, 6 GT, 6 Creed, 6.5x47 Lapua, 6.5 Creed, and .308 Win, among others.
If you're building a left-hand PRS or NRL rifle around a .308-bolt-face cartridge, this is the action to start from.
