The journey of Sierra Bullets began in 1947, inside a Quonset hut in California, at a time when the post-war boom in shooting sports and a scarcity of high-quality ammunition drove shooters towards reloading to meet their needs. Founders Frank Snow, Jim Spivey, and Loren Harbor seized this opportunity, laying the groundwork for a company that would become a pivotal player in the ammunition industry. The addition of Martin Hull, a competitive shooter with a keen market sense and product development acumen, further propelled Sierra’s mission. The company saw significant expansions and innovations under the leadership of Bob Hayden, who joined in 1969 and steered Sierra through periods of growth and product diversification until his retirement in 2012.
