Littlest In The Family
A rifle that was instantly likeable came into my office for some work yesterday. It could be broken down into its separate components:
Foundation Ezekiel Hybrid Hunting Stock w/Soft Touch Finish
Zermatt TL3-SA
22” Proof Prefit Carbon Fiber Barrel
Atlas Bipod
Vortex Scope
Bixn Andy 2 Stage TacSport Pro X Trigger
22 Creedmoor
Light Weight Rifle #11.2
The parts listed above combine to make the whole, but it is the whole itself that is so compelling. You know when you see something that is “Just Right”? IYKYK
Handling, handiness, weight, balance, aesthetics all combined to make me think I needed a pair and a spare of just that rifle. The dreams have begun . . .
I’ve had a few centerfire 22s before, 22 Hornet, 222 Remington, 22-250 Remington. I loved the quiet efficiency of the Hornet. The accuracy of the 222 was boringly consistent. The speed of the 22-250 was awe inspiring with tiny bullets.
They were all accurate, and had their place while I had them, but now there’s a hole in the collection only a centerfire 22 can fill.
The littlest Creedmoor. The 22 Creedmoor. One like this one! That’s the ticket!
